We’ve all heard it - ‘there’s nowhere to eat in Stockport’, well that’s all changed. Hopefully this guide will help kill the myth!

Hillgate Cakery - as well as the BEST cakes and sweet treats, Hillgate Cakery have just began selling savoury bits (woo!) - think wraps, pies, samosas and much more. Sit in or take away and wash down with a coffee or speciality Latte.

Tiamos Cafe - Super cosy spot for a proper meal! Loads of choice on their menu from salads to pasta to tapas to a fab vegan menu!

Blackshaws Kitchen - Delicious hearty food! Serving breakfasts, lunch and a hefty Sunday Lunch. All in their stunning original fronted building!

Bakers Vaults - Finger food while you drink! Their full menu is now back up and running - hot dogs, burgers and other deep fried goodies. Vegan and vegetarian options always! 

The Fish Inn - The friendliest and best chippy in town! Simple as! Sit in and takeaway service.

Rhode Island - These guys have a lovely range of wraps, sandwiches, cakes and other sweet treats. I personally love popping in for a tea cake or 2!

Laco Cafe - I recently recommended these guys to a customer who popped in looking for a light lunch and she came back especially to thank me and tell me how lovely it was! They have a lovely range of breakfast and lunch options, superb fresh sourdough bread and salads.

Where the Light Gets in - serious Stockport food. Situated in an old coffee warehouse nestled in the old town, they serve superb seasonal food and can cater for almost any dietary requirements. Their restaurant and kitchen is set up totally open plan and you’re served by the chefs themselves - a true dining experience 👌

Chaat Cart (Produce Hall) - Find them in the produce hall serving top notch South Indian street food. A brilliant selection for everyone to choose from.

Angkor Soul (Produce Hall) - Pure flavour! Situated in the Produce Hall, they serve delicious Cambodian dishes, each absolutely to die for - a personal fav.
